The cast of Jersey Shore debuted their television show on TV in December 2009, on the MTV channel. The reality series is about eight people, four men and four women, that live in a house together for the summer at the Jersey Shore in New Jersey. Their life is filled with partying, dating and turmoil in the house.

The cast of jersey shore season 1 was such a hit with the cast members that filming immediately began for Season 2. Season 2 was about the eight friends moving into a house in Miami Beach for the winter while escaping the cold weather in the North. Season 3 covered the cast of jersey shore packing up and moving back to the Jersey Shore. Season 4 was shot and filmed on location in Italy in late 2011.

The show debuted amongst a large amount of controversy concerning the words Guido and Guidette, which portrays stereotyping of Italian - American people. The cast of jersey shore members also received heartache from the residents of the local community since the cast members were not from the Jersey Shore.
